The 3 Core Qualities of a R1 Recruiter

On the surface, recruiting seems like a pretty straight forward entry level job. The staffing industry is *$146 Billion-dollar industry that is growing around 5% per year.  After spending ten years in the industry, I have had the opportunity to work with many recruiters and have made a few observations on what it takes to be successful.


After participating in over 1,000 interviews, I’ve come to the conclusion that this industry isn’t for everyone.  At Reliance One, we have found some core qualities that most successful recruiters have.  If I find a candidate that is, competitive, goal driven and has good people skills, we have the core skills that it takes to be successful.  After that, it is the pure determination to succeed that determines the level of success a recruiter will realize.
